G Scale because we are interested in model railroads. Of course there are many varieties of G scale, and there seems to be a forum for each. So what is different about this forum?
It's all in the name, remote location! Many other forums have a distinctive local background. We here try to avoid discussion about special offers at your local model store, even if you are lucky enough to have one. And we don't usually discuss visitor days. Because of remote locations our members are unlikely to meet physically, but it's great if they do!
So what is on offer here is in one sense a bit less than a general G scale forum, but it does offer a 'virtual' meeting place for like minded people. It's certainly not a serious 'rivet counting' forum. It's all about fun, and if you have a juvenile sense of humor that may be helpful.
The are no 'special' rules here, but of course courtesy to others is expected. Nor is it exclusively G scale! Sadly this hobby is expensive and likely to attract older (but not wiser) folk. So please feel free to include your 'ancient memories' even if they precede G scale. All welcome so long as it's 'fun'. But please leave contentious subjects for other places.
